Rector - Lucia Sgroi

Lucia Sgroi

Hello! My name is Lucia, and this is my first year as Rector of Ryan Hall! I was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, so Notre Dame has been one of my favorite places for as long as I can remember. As an undergraduate here at Notre Dame, I studied Psychology, Studio Art, and Catholic Social Tradition before going on to earn my master's in Theology. Along the way, I worked at a parish in Wisconsin with middle school, high school, and young adult ministry. A few of my favorite things are the color yellow, drip coffee, beach volleyball, Dancing with the Stars, and playing Codenames with anyone willing to join. I am so excited to get to know all of you and to call Ryan home. Go Wildcats!

Assistant Rector - Caroline Flannery

Caroline
I'm Caroline Flannery. I am from Chappaqua, NY which is about an hour north of NYC. I'm currently a law student going into my second year. This summer I worked in NYC at a law firm doing employment litigation work which is what I'd like to do after graduation. I'm in the religious liberty clinic at the law school this year which I am incredibly excited about. I went to Notre Dame for undergrad as well and graduated in 2025. I majored in political science and theology with a minor in history. I was in Ryan all 4 years and it was truly my favorite part of Notre Dame. I was an RA my senior year in 3B. I grew up with Notre Dame and live and breathe by Notre Dame football. I love rec sports and will basically play anything as long as it doesn't involve skating. I love running although I can't go very fast and I don't really go much past 5 miles. I'm also an avid New York Yankees fan. I have a brother also at Notre Dame and he will be an RA in Knott Hall this year. I love cooking and find it to be relaxer after a long day.
